CHOICES & Options

No two BushCats are the same as they are customisable to meet with the owners mission and budget requirements.

Choices

NOSEWHEEL, TAIL-DRAGGER, AMPHIBIAN

Whether you fly from prepared airfields, grass strips, or water, there is a BushCat variant to suit your needs and personal choice. The BushCat nosewheel is a great backcountry capable aircraft while the taildragger version is considered by some as the ultimate Bush performer. Regardless of your choice, the BushCat will take you into the roughest tundra or bush. We also offer amphibious float options for those wishing to operate off land and water. (Float availability is region specific).

KIT OR FACTORY BUILT

The nosewheel and taildragger BushCat variants are available as a factory built SLSA, or as a home-built ELSA kit.

Home built kits require between 200 and 300 hours of assembly, requiring only standard tools and average DIY skills. We incorporate several checks into our kit packing procedure to ensure the kit is delivered 100% complete and accurate. Our build manual is world-class and is extremely easy to follow in logical steps. We also offer excellent builder support via email and phone should you require assistance of any kind. We are on hand to assist with the procedure from step one so that the idea of building your own aircraft need not be an intimidating task in any way. We take all the worry out of it for you so you can enjoy the build process and just a few hundred hours later can proclaim you built (and now fly!) your own aircraft! An aircraft that takes you from one adventure to the next.

Should the build process not be for you or if time does not allow, the aircraft is available as a factory built SLSA – built to your specification.

COLOUR Schemes

The BushCat is a fun aircraft and we believe it’s aesthetics should resemble this point and we are proud of our bright and unique colour schemes. The Trilaminate material covering is available in 5 colours: Black, White, Yellow, Blue and Orange. We have various layout templates on offer that incorporate these fabric colours. The composite parts of the aircraft can be painted in any colour imaginable – making the exterior look of your BushCat totally customisable. The aircraft can be made to look bright and playful should that be your aim, or perhaps your choice would be a more conservative and less conspicuous one – the choice is all yours. These are just some examples:

INSTRUMENT Panels

With an option to match every budget and mission, the BushCat is now available with standard instrument panel options. What’s more is that we now also include all wiring looms for these standard panels for kit builders making the BushCat the quickest and easiest 2 seat kit aircraft to assemble.
Standard specification is country dependant. Specification levels for standard panels in your region may differ slightly from the artwork shown – please contact your local BushCat distributor for more information and pricing.

TYRES

Several tyre options are available for use on the BushCat. While the nosegear version can be fitted with tyres as large as 800 x 6 balloon tyres, the taildragger BushCat has been tested with main tyres up to 26 inch super tundra units for extreme off field missions.

PROPELLER

Based on their great performance when paired with the Rotax 912S engine, BushCat customers are offered the choice between various propellers based on personal preference. The factory fitted options are as follows:

PROPELLER ENGINE CAPABILITY
KievProp Rotax 912ULS
P-Prop* Rotax 912ULS
Warp Drive* Rotax 912ULS

* These propellers have not yet been tested to verify performace meeting LSA and CS-LSA standards.
